Serenity first came to yoga to quiet her mind and cultivate mind-body connection. That has since evolved into a belief that yoga offers us tools to more deeply connect with ourselves and the world around us. Serenity grounds her teaching in equal parts breath and balance, practice and play.
In addition to teaching yoga, Serenity is an established pottery teacher. Her teaching is a cross-pollination between these two practices with a consistent invitation to embrace imperfection and find a sense of joy in the process. Serenity sees both of these experiences as moving meditations where we can practice finding center.
You can expect a fun, fast flowing practice. A choose-your-own-adventure style class where the puzzles of advanced asanas are simplified and all variations are celebrated. Serenity approaches class with a deep sense of play and invites you to release inhibitions and come exactly as you are. Wherever you are on your yoga journey, you are welcome here.
Serenity completed her 200 hour with Michele Klink and regularly practices under Gillian Confair and Carla Herzenberg.
Free yoga in the park series starting in July. Dates coming soon.
